THE SEARCH
When you left your footprints
On the sands of time
Every step
I retraced
To seek you, my beloved -
Alone.
As I carried the burden
Of my dreams and yours;
Every wave of the sea
I watched
Rise and fall
With insatiate glance
Till the saline waters
Infected my eyes -
Alone.
As I hoped
For the resurrection in your heart
Every evening I heard arriving
With slow steps -
Alone
As I listened
To my chattering and yours.
Today when I realize
Your search has become my life
I weep for you my beloved
And leave behind my dreams and yours
On the endless ocean of time
Roaring before me;
So that,
Each night and each day may
Reach out to the unattainable
Stars in the sky,
And I may retrace your footsteps,
Lightly,
To seek you, my beloved,
Without the burden of carrying
My dreams and yours.
For though none lives forever
And nothing lasts for long,
My dreams and yours
Shall have the fame of...
Immortality.

The Awakening of Adonis by John William Waterhouse

"You're the reason I believe in love,

And you're the answer to my prayers from up above,

All we need is just the two of us,

My dreams came true because of you!"

~~Shania Twain~~

Ophelia by the Pond by John William Waterhouse
"You're still the one I run to,
The one that I belong to,
You're still the one I want for life,
You're still the one that I love,
The only one I dreamed of,
You're still the one I kiss goodnight."
~~Shania Twain~~
Imagine this is me by you.

Hola bloggers! I wish everyone a....
Happy Thanksgiving Day!

A Voice from Hell

Oh, why am I here in this place of unrest
When others have entered the land of the blest?
God's way of salvation was preached unto men;
I heard it and heard it, again and again.

Why did I not listen and turn from my sin
And open my heart and let Jesus come in?
For vain earthly pleasures my soul did I sell
The way I had chosen has brought me to hell.

I wish I were dreaming, but ah, it is true.
The way to be saved I had heard and I knew;
My time on the earth, oh, so quickly fled by,
How little I thought of the day I would die.

When God's Holy Spirit was pleading with me,
I hardened my heart and I turned from His plea.
The way that was sinful, the path that was wide,
I chose and I walked till the time that I died.

Eternally now, I must dwell in this place.
If I from my memory could but erase
The thoughts of my past which are haunting me so.
Oh, where is a refuge to which I can go?

This torture and suff'ring, how long can I stand?
For Satan and demons this only was planned.
God's refuge is Jesus, the One that I spurned;
He offered salvation, but from Him I turned.

My brothers and sisters I wish I could warn.
Far better 'twould be if I had not been born.
The price I must pay is too horrid to tell
My life without God led directly to Hell.

Oh, soul without Christ, will these words be your cry?
God's Word so declares it that all men must die.
From hell and its terrors, Oh, flee while you may!
So, come to the Saviour; He'll save you today!

—Oscar C. Eliason~~
Note: The Author promise he is not in hell...lol! Thanks to Mr. Eliason for this poem.

I treasure all your messages in my heart (God bless you) and thanks also to the visitors and regular readers of my blogs here on Google Blogger. Have a blessed week ahead bloggers! And I am Ophelia sharing with you this thought...

"We all profess that we are bound for heaven, immortality, and glory: but is it any evidence that we really design it if all our thoughts are consumed about the trifles of this world, which we must leave behind us, and have only occasional thoughts of things above? "

—John Owen ~~

God bless us all!

Little Ophelia
Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days
Sometimes it feels like this world's gone crazy
Grandpa, take me back to yesterday
When the line between right and wrong
Didn't seem so easy
Lovers really fall in love to stay
Stand beside each other come what may
Promise is really something people get
Not just something they would say
Families really bowed their heads to pray
Daddies really never go away
Oh, grandpa tell me 'bout the good old days
Grandpa, everything is changing fast
We call progress but I just don't know
And grandpa, let's wander back into the past
And paint me the picture of long ago.
Lovers really fall in love to stay
Stand beside each other come what may
Promise is really something people get
Not just something they would say
Families really bowed their heads to pray
Daddies really never go away
Oh, grandpa tell me 'bout the good old days.
~~The Judds (Naomi and Wynona)~~
Hola bloggers! Yes, sometimes when we feel disappointed about the fast-paced
life we lead today we tend to wander back into the mellow past and remember the way
things used to be... or we just sit beside our grandparents and ask them about the good
old days. I can still remember when I did this with my grandfather...I could see how his eyes
lightened up remembering the precious past he cherished all his life. Nowadays, most often
we become disappointed with the negative effects of a permissive society but let's not
fret because life is still beautiful to live if we put everything in the right perspective.
When we give the Lord our time, our talents, and our life, we will be able to view everything
that comes as being directed by His hand. Each moment of each day will be seen as ordained
by His grace. So let's follow Him like the thread folows the needle because the closer we follow the Lord, the clearer we see His leading.
Have a great and blessed day bloggers!
Sincerely,
Ophelia

In all the good Greek of Plato,
I lack my roast beef and potato.
A better man was Aristotle,
Pulling steady on the bottle.
I dip my hat to Chaucer,
Swilling soup from his saucer.
And to Master Shakespeare,
Who wrote big on small beer.
The abstemious Wordsworth,
Subsisted on a curds-worth.
But a slick one was Tennyson,
Putting gravy on his venison.
What these men had to eat and drink,
Is what we say and what we think.
The influence of Milton,
Came wry out of Stilton.
sing a song for Percy Shelley,
Drowned in pale lemon jelly.
And for precious John Keats,
Dripping blood of pickled beets.
Then there was poor Willie Blake,
He foundered on sweet cake.
God have mercy on the sinner,
Who must write with no dinner.
No belly and no bowels,
Only consonants and vowels.

IT'S IN THE VALLEYS WE GROW

Hola! Soy Ophelia, your BLOGGER friend! Before anything else, I wish to thank all my Blogger friends who cared to send me thoughtful emails and electronic greeting cards...I sincerely treasure them. I also want to thank my blogger visitors for sending in their comments and suggestions. I am always welcome to all comments or suggestions and opinions and ideas. We all learn from each other's ideas and I really love hearing from you. Now I am again in the mood for spiritual musings and I would like to share with you pieces of my mind.
In life, most often we only tend to look up when we are knocked down flat on our backs...when troubles, fears, worries and sicknesses arise and when life's pressures seem so hard to bear. Honestly, I, for one used to succumb to this attitude but I thank the Lord that He opened my mind to deep spiritual truths that helped me face life as it is planned for us: one day at a time. I must admit that recent pressures almost knocked me down but by God's grace I am meeting life too bravely to be beaten now. With a childlike faith in God and with a stout heart and a cheery face, I face up to pressures without any compromise to remain true to my claim as a chainless soul. Blogger friends and visitors, always remember this..."we can always find a rainbow in every dark cloud and the sparkle of God's love in every tear as He gently leads us home" because.......

Sometimes life seems hard to bear,

Full of sorrow, trouble and woe

It's then we have to remember

That it's in the valleys we grow.

If we always stayed on the mountain top

And never experienced pain,

We would never appreciate God's love

And would be living in vain.

We have so much to learn

And our growth is very slow,

Sometimes we need the mountain tops,

But it's in the valleys we grow.

We do not always understand

Why things happen as they do,

But I am very sure of one thing.

My Lord will see me through.

The little valleys are nothing

When we picture Christ on the cross

He went through the valley of death;

His victory was Satan's loss.

Forgive me Lord, for complaining

When I'm feeling so very low.

Just give me a gentle reminder

That it's in the valleys I grow.

Continue to strengthen me, Lord

And use my life each day

To share your love with others

And help them find their way.

Thank you for the valleys, Lord

For this one thing I know

The mountain tops are glorious

But it's in the valleys I grow!

HAVE A BLESSED WEEKEND BLOGGERS!
angel by you.

SINCERELY,

OPHELIA

Somewhere In The World

Time, changer of seasons,

time will see another flower growing.

Climb over the mountains,

There you'll find warm winds blowing.

Somewhere in the world,

there is peace of mind.

Somewhere in the world,

that's what I must find.

Somewhere in the world,

there's a place for me

in this world...

I cannot believe it,

everywhere I see lonely faces.

Why have we no answers?

Just some more empty places?

Somewhere in the world,

there is peace of mind.

Somewhere in the world,

that's what I must find.

Somewhere in the world,

there's a place for me,

in this world.

~~Boney M~~

Hola, bloggers! We live in a world full of chaos and confusion. We see injustice all around us that we sometimes ask, "why doesn't God do something?" Dear friends, it is worthy of note that we are living in a world that is always in rebellion with God. As long as this trend continues, complete peace will be just wishful thinking, but we can always have peace in our hearts. The Lord Jesus said, "Peace, I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27)

Yours truly have gone through very tough times of trials and pressures from all sides, but as a chainless soul that I always call myself to be, I have overcome each and every trials of life that came my way only by the grace of God. Yes, a chainless soul I am indeed and a chainless soul forever I will be. May God pour upon each and everyone of my readers grace and blessings the whole year through. Always remember that we can have "the peace that passes understanding" in Christ Jesus our Lord.
