Thoughtful Musings on Love

Hearts day is coming and lovers all around the world are finding ways on how to please their lovers on that day. Here, I pause for a while and share with you thoughts on love.....

"Never love unless you can
Bear with all the faults of man!"

"You will Never know true happiness until you have truly loved, and you will never understand what pain really is until you have lost it."

"True love cannot be found, where it truly does not exist,
nor can it be hidden where it truly does."

"Seduce my mind and you can have my body,
Find my soul and I'm yours forever."

"To love a person is to sing the song that is in their heart,
and to sing it to them when they have forgotten."

"And think not you can direct the course of love,
For love, if it finds you worthy,
directs your course."
~~Kahlil Gibran

"Only love lets us see normal things,
In an extraordinary way."

Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself
But if your love and must needs have desires,
Let these be your desires:

  • To melt and be like a running brook
  • That sings its melody to the night.
  • To know the pain of too much tenderness.
  • To be wounded by your own understanding of love;
  • And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
  • To wake at dawn with a winged heart
  • And give thanks for another day of loving;
  • To rest at the noon hour and meditate love's ecstasy;
  • To return home at eventide with gratitude;
  • And then to sleep with a prayer
  • For the beloved in your heart
  • And a song of praise upon your lips.

    To Daddy,

    Memories....
    of times you shared with me,
    are lodged deeply in my mind.
    Memories....
    of the tenderness you showed to me
    caress my soul to bliss.
    Memories....
    of the love you bestowed on me,
    my heart can never forget.
    For daddy dear you'll always be,
    the most precious memory i keep.

    You may not be here to guide me,
    I may not see your tender smiles.
    I may not hear your soothing voice,
    Console me when i cry.
    And when my heart is troubled,
    You may not share the pain.
    But daddy dear your mem'ries will remain,
    My lasting cure for ills and pains.
    And wherever you are I'm sure of this,
    That you are happy and in peace.
    And through each memory that you bring,
    I'll cherish you to whom I cling.
